I'm a bit late this morning...

but that's because I spent the time finishing this:

I'm going out today to get the buttons, but as you can see, it fits great! Here's the back:

Even though I fought with it and learned that I really need to pay attention when I knit cables, I absolutely love it (but I'm glad it's finished). I'm taking today to knit and relax before we start on more holiday madness. New Year's Eve is also my Dad's 60th birthday, so we're going back to Peterborough for another visit and more revelry--I'll be more cautious with the spirits however.

oooooooooooohhhhhh! Wowie! It looks tremendous on you, and I'm so happy to say hi to it! You did a marvellous job. Enjoy the fruits of your labour, dear, you deserve it. Gerjess, just gerjess.

It looks fantastic! looking forward to making one for myself when I finish my gansey. What size did you make? happy new year.

It looks absolutely wonderful and comfy. Nice job!!!!

Happy New Year and many new projects.

What a lovely sweater! It looks perfect. BTW... I feel the same way as you do about cables... love them but couldn't do them all the time.

I made the XL or largest size, and as you can see it ain't big. The finished chest is 42" and the length is 21". For perspective, I'm a 38" chest (with very broad shoulders) and I'm 5'6". Buttoned up this will just fit me (but in a good way).

Wow, it looks great!

You did a beautiful job on it! It looks stunning. I actually like knitting cables but they really look awful on me.

Wowee, zowee!
It loks custom made for you ; ).
I love cables. What's the pattern?
What buttons did you find?

Wow, your Must Have Cardie looks lovely! I really enjoyed making one for my mom's birthday last summer. I had to use icky Wool-Ease since she's allergic to wool. Great job!

Steph, it looks great! I think I'm going to have to order this pattern for myself, I just love it. I've heard it runs small so it was helpful to hear your sizing info.

nice work, you! you pick up so nice. (and i mean that in the g-rated way).

It's so fab !
A wanderful piece of knitting. :0)

Thanks for the size details. I hope I got enough yarn. I'm 5'9 but 36"-37" around, and long waisted. The sleeves certainly look long enough, but the body is going to be really close in length. Did you have any yarn left over? Maybe I should plan for another ball to get an extra inch in the body? I love the way it looks on you!

Really nice! Your cable work is just fab.

And she cables too! Wow, your cardie looks SO good! I love it. Love it, love it, love it! Way to go!

It is GORGEOUS! Your finishing work is peerless, Steph. Congrats on another triumph!

What a fabulous piece of work - you must be so proud! Really fine work!

Hello!!!! Your cardigan looks very, very good. What a great job you did! It'll have to go on my 5-yr knitting list. hehe

Yowza! What a beauty! Excellent job, and wear it with pride!

Wow!!!!! It's really fantastic!!! I've just been purusing through some of your other projects as well - and you're QUITE talented!!! And you have a great site, too... (I found you by way of the "recently updated photo blogs" on the main Typepad page. :-) )

Take care, and happy new year!!!

I love it! The texture is so crisp. I bet you will wear it all the time. Congrats!
