Neat! What is it?

I was catching up on my blog-reading when I found this neat kudo to Katherine's lovely blog.  Being vain, I decided to see if I had one too.  I do and it's very complimentary.

So, what is a page boost?  I googled, but didn't find a good answer.

I wish I had knitting to report but I went out (yes, out of the house, away from the kids, on my own) for beers with some friends last night.  With my current work load, I'm hoping to do some knitting before the end of the month.  Sigh.

But I liked the page boost!

LATER

Okay, so it's fake.  I did wonder why it would say things like "this must have taken a long time to code" since it is a freakin Typepad template.  But it was fun anyway.  Damned inquistive nature--I just have to know everything don't I?

But I didn't waste time on it (that I'm wasting on formatting my bibliography properly for this journal--I'm using a great program called Endnote--it's just not cooperating well with Word).

A bigger boost will be getting this article off the printer and into an envelope and off to the journal editor.

hiya,
i'm not trying to burst your bubble...but isn't it fake? cuz i popped my URL in there....and you know, these sound like form letters. it is kinda cool but...

'tis fake. Stick in any URL, and you'll always see bumpf about the judicious choice of file length or characters used in the URL and the number of hyperlinks with the odd reference to a page that linked to it, plus some ridiculous comment like "it must have taken decades to perfect this page."

I loved that kudo site!

"I wish my sister had a site like this one?"

"My colors are cubist"?

That was funny!

Sorry you got shot down on that page boost. I happen to think that you have a fabulous blog and I am completely un-fake (or what some would call real, duh).

The part I like best is that if you keep clicking "submit" you keep gettting different reviews, all glowing. Perfect for those low ego days.

Thank you so much for posting that "neat kudo" link. I was quite amazed at the comments about my blog. Not sure exactly what its all about though or even who to thank.

Wow, that was a nice feeling..at first. Even if it's fake! Mine said "This page is to the web what the Einstein was to physics."

hehe. see? you made everyone's day Steph. and hey, i link to you! :)

Sorry, Steph, I should have been more clear that it was just a bit of fakery -- but fun, and hey, I'll take praise, even fake praise, wherever I can get it these days...

ha! my blog is "delicate and exclusive" and "might just change your life."

excellent!

Hahahaha! My site was sent to a *friend* and it made him cry! rofl. I sometimes cry when I look at it too. Funny, very funny.

I need to get Endnote, too. And I guess I missed the announcement at some point, but you're submitting to a journal? Good for you!!
