Curses!
Don't you hate it when you're knitting on a long commute and you run out of yarn on the way TO work. You know, when you have an hour ride FROM work and don't have any knitting.
Damn. Now I'm going to have to do work on the subway instead. Crap.

And this is why I am incredibly grateful that there is a yarn shop close to wear I work. The luxury of picking something new because I happened to run out on the way is terrific!

Aw, that sucks.
If it's any consolation, I think my boyfriend packed up the issue of IK I was knitting from with his work stuff last night. And he's getting home super late today. I guess it's an excuse to cast on for something new, right? ;-)

That sucks! At least you will have less work to do at home then ...

I don't get the link. What happened to staring into space on the bus ride home?

I had a somewhat similar experience over Thanksgiving... I packed my Irish Hiking Scarf to take to my mother in law's house only to find that I had completely left my needles at home on the table (I'm using Denises, so I just had the stitch holder ends on the cord. Oy). I think I did a lot of staring out the window.

Ha! That happened to me 1 hour into jury duty. Not a happy camper (and the lawyers knew it too).
