Twitchy

The bottom lid of my left eye has been twitching for two weeks.  I can't feel it so it isn't bothering me, but really it probably shouldn't do that.  Like a good Health and Media Sociologist I consulted the internet and I found this:

This is an innocent problem that affects most people at some time in their lives. If someone becomes aware of a twitching below the eye it's usually when they're worried about something or have something on their mind. It's extremely common when someone is under pressure or being stressed by something, by work for example.

When this is the case it's important to find out what the real problem is and to sort it out. It might be that you're not happy in your current job or have a problem with your relationship.

As far as the twitch is concerned, the best thing to do is to try and ignore it and it will go away. The problem is that worrying about it only makes it worse, so you become trapped in a vicious cycle.

Or maybe it's house hunting.  We spent the weekend in negotiations and they fell apart tonight with very very little money separating us.  I'm glad we held firm and I'm a bit disappointed.  Mostly though I'm pissed off at how they played the game making us wait all day for nothing.  Some beer, sushi and mindless tv will ease my pain.

But not kureyon.  Canada Post came while I was at work and the box is waiting for me at the post office now.  So tonight I'll spend with Cactus Flower, a good substitute, but not as good as the squares which are completely engrossing.  I finished three more this weekend.

The one on the left is colour 154 and the other two are 95.  I also did another red one in 124.  The last 95 one was a bit dicey--I was undoing a swatch from Rosedale to finish it.  But I don't think that made my eye twitch.

Your squares look really good. My square I made out of 95 came out entirely pink and green...for some reason my skein skipped the yellow and khaki. Wah =(

Sorry about the twitch, or more properly, the anxiety behind the twitch.
Janet Evanovich's main character, Stephanie Plum, suffers an eye twitch when she's stressed. It's pretty funny.

So house-hunting, kids starting back at school (new teachers, etc), you starting back at teaching, .... And you wonder why your eye is twitching. Beer. Definitely.

Try takng some calcium. Or increasing it if you already do. Helps my eye twitch.

Dude. The twitch? You need magnesium! I had a major twitch that was making me insane and in France, the pharmacist told me that I needed "une cure de magnesium" meaning I had to take it daily for a month. Try it. It worked for me, though it could be a coincidence or a placebo effect or something.

I love those squares! I hope the twitch goes away soon!

Another possibility is allergies. I had problems with a "twitch" under my eye (actually the lower lid). My doctor suggested I look at my shampoo, my soap, etc....turns out the shampoo I had just started using had chamomile in it, something I was allergic to. I switched to a less-allergenic variety and the twitch went away.

Nice squares! I'm sorry to hear that your eye is twitching. I find that to be one of the most frustrating feelings ever. Mine twitched for almost a full daym and I almost lost my mind. I hope it stops for you soon.

Oy. I get the twitchy eye whenever I am very tired and stressed. It'll go away. Honest! And what better than Kureyon to help you de-stress?!

I've been having the same twitch, and when I stopped long enough to realize it was due to stress, it stopped. Knitting helped.

I so love your squares. I have displayed my small Kureyon stash in a new basket so I can dream of my own lizard ridges.

Hey! We match! I have a square of 95 and am working on 154 right now. Ahem, and 124 is in the queue.

I just got over one that I had for 5 months. I saw my optometrist and my doctor, and they both said there is very little that you can do for it. Drink tonic water (the quinone is a nerve relaxant) and try Naphcon A eye drops. Again, they have a nerve relaxant. And the doctors also said stress had nothing to do with it, just coincidence and it will go away when it is ready to.

Ohh, I love your squares. I can't wait to see the finished blanket. I hope your anxiety and your eye twitch go away. Wishing you well...

Sorry about the house! But I'm glad it didn't get too ugly. You'll have your home, darlin'. Keep knitting those squares.... I LOVE those things, btw.

I had a twitch, off and on, for 23 years until I finally divorced him. The twitch went away immediately. So it IS stress!!!

I love your squares. I am still on the first one. I have more than enough Kureyon to make the throw - it's just a matter of getting it done. I guess it will be a "winter project". Right now I'm making squares for Crazy Aunt Purl's gramma. I think all sqaures are addictive!! I have a baby blanket nearly finished that I HAVE to get back to but can't put the squares down. I look forward to seeing your progress!!

Sorry about the house. My left eye will twitch when I haven't had enough sleep. It drives me crazy when it happens but gives me an excuse to sleep in more!
