Oh, man! I can SO relate to that feeling. My February Lady Sweater is still in a bag, in the closet, only one sleeve from being finished. But it's only in this state because I haven't resolved myself to ripping the whole thing out and starting over due to "twisted stitches" ... all of the stitches on EVERY knit row throughout. If the yarn hadn't been so expensive, I'd just toss the whole thing out and forget it ever existed. This realization happened in April, and I'm still not done being angry. I'm impressed that you're so close to being over it so soon.

Wow that blows!

Silver lining: at least you recognized it now and not after you had cast it off, added buttons and blocked it.

not an artist

Could you fix this with an underarm gusset?

Sometimes the straightforward patterns lull you into a false sense of security. There you are, sitting in your chair, knitting, chatting, drinking a cold beer, and all of a sudden you've knit miles and forgotten that the damned thing needs arms.

Fuckity, fuck is right.

Ouch! At least the knitting was enjoyable, so you can enjoy again?

Grumble grumble.

I'm looking for help. I saw your post, and to be honest, I don't really know how I got there. I don't know the difference between blogs and forums. That, however, is not my question.
You have apparently knitted the Mondo Vest by Chic Knits, and though I've knitted many, many sweaters, hats, socks, etc., I'm really stumped. I'm not sure what side I'm working on or how it's going to work when I'm starting the left front. It talks about attaching working yarn, and how do I do that? Don't I have to attach a new yarn? Also, cast on using what cast on method. So far, all those I've tried look like crap! I've echoed the Fuckity Fuck many times, and I'm about ready to unravel and quit it forever, though I really would like to make this vest! I see that you write that it's a straightforward pattern, but I'm just not getting it. I think I have a block, or suffered brain damage in my sleep somehow! I don't even know how I'll find an answer if you ever are willing to answer this! My Ravelry "nom de plume" is "Onceasweater". My direct e-mail is: 4751jrac@gmail.com. Can you help?
Thank you so much!
Elaine
